MudStuffing Sketchbook

The EtsyMudTeam is having another challenge. I’ve skipped the last two because of scheduling, but this next one is sculptural and I really wanted to be sure to having something for it. I like these challenges cause they push me out of my comfort zone into new directions.

My piece isn’t really “bouncing”, but I am liking the way it’s turning out. This sculpture is life size and will be embellished similar to my Shiva sculpture last year. Not the same glazes, and I am not sure if I am going with the gold lustre either, but I’ve got some unexpected ideas brainstormed for decoration.

I wish I had taken in progress photos cause I built it from the ground up with coils, no armatures or anything, which was a first for me and a lot of fun seeing it appear from the bottom up.
